Our Projects
The ASEF University Alumni Network undertakes a number of projects to promote a meaningful intercultural dialogue between Asia and Europe, particularly among the younger generation.
There are two ongoing projects that we have been working on since the network was founded in 2002: Culture Capsule and Model ASEM. In 2009, we are hosting the first ASEFUAN Dialogue.
ASEFUAN Dialogues
The ASEFUAN Dialogues create a forum for dialogue for young leaders and experts to not only exchange ideas on topics such as global governance, globalisation, international security or climate change but also to engage in discussions with senior figures and politicial leaders.

ASEFUAN IVS
ASEFUAN IVS is the newest project of ASEFUAN that allows its members to undertake voluntary service in a grassroots community in an ASEM country within the context of a work camp. It will bring together around 15 ASEFUANers who will live and work together on a local non-profit project for two weeks.
Culture Capsule
Culture Capsule facilitates cultural exchanges between elementary and secondary schools in Asia and Europe. The initiative promotes friendship and better understanding by giving students an opportunity to trade local items, cultural symbols, letters, and photographs with counterparts in the other region.

Model ASEM
Model Asia-Europe Meeting (Model ASEM) promotes awareness and creates a deeper understanding of the ASEM process among promising student leaders in a simulation inspired by the ASEM dialogue. It allows young people to discuss issues of mutual concern and put forward their vision of an ideal Asia-Europe Meeting.
